O' the Beauty of Color,
Every scene captured an essence, An essence of power and pain.
What is pain?
Pain is within the joys of being a mother and have it all taken from you before your very eyes,
Pain is the force that fills you when your lover leaves you continuously for another woman and yet, comes back to say I'M SORRY.
Pain is the drive that shadows you, and makes you believe you could never have a gay husband
Pain is the past of having a sexual encounter that left you barren
Pain is the lust for every man, night after night.
Pain is the virginity lost that leaves you pregnant.
Pain is in a hoarder that masks everything with being spiritual and yet is keeping a deep dark secret.
Our hearts are sometimes frivolous, it lies to us and shadows us from seeing the truth.
For colored girls showed the aspect of life that many of us face day to day or know someone who is.
The stories eloquently told by the finest actors of our time, embroidered the struggle of these women.
It was like, I faced it myself. "but I know you" and "I was you" was a term that showed that many of us have been through this.
It showed the power within them, The power that you could pick up the pieces and move on. Life is a story that has to be told, and shared amongst the living. That HIV is not the death sentence and it could happen to the most powerful of people, making them realize they are only human. And the power that there is a God, and anyone that would rape any other being would not go unpunished, you have what's coming.
We cannot sometimes control our destiny,
but we can drive ourselves through the paths of good and greatness
A broken heart, A wounded spirit, A hurt soul, just never goes away... It just all becomes bare-able.

FOR COLORED GIRLS
I had the opportunity to see the movie last night, As I pulled up, I wondered will this movie give me a different feel to what Tyler Perry's movies have always portrayed? I guess that was what a lot of people had in their minds.
I heard the whisper from the conners of the theatre as I took my seat. "This movie better be good or else I'll be so mad" Looking through the vast majority of people that showed up were "African American girls" either with their boy friends or their girls.
The previews started playing, and with like so many movies starting to bore me already. I started to look so uninterested even before it started, that my friend said to me severally "are you ok" "you look bored".
But then it began, what we had been waiting for, for many many months. I sunk into my seat as the music began, a sentence from the actors in the movie such as " this movie is for girls who have ever committed suicide" that was it, I was sold.
As I watched every single aspect of the movie, it told amazing and true stories of colored girls living in New York city.
My eyes watered through it all, for the very first time in a theatre I teared for every girl that has had to go through any of the pain and suffering. The scene that stood out to me was " the murder of the children" I loved them like they were mine, I felt their pain, their struggle, their abuse. It broke me...
It is a movie that everyone needs to take the time and go watch, get into it and feel every moment.
It was beautifully done down to the cinematography.
I rate this movie an A

I LOVE NEW YORK

It's not a secret that the fashion capital of the world is New York City. New York is flooded with millions of tourists every month that come to have a taste of what the city has to offer. I had the opportunity to visit some of its many famous buildings, sites and monuments like Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, Rockafella Center and many more. There is a feeling you get when you visit New York, it feels like you are now in the presence of life; the real world.
Many people also move to New York for two things, Its fashion and to find love. I had a great opportunity to do a photo shoot with one of the greatest photographers of our time Mr. Tarrice Love, more of his work can be found on www.loveismyrealname.blogspot.com.
The commute in the city was quite an experience, the subways are crowded with thousands of people every day, with children playing and dancing in the karts to make money, to the homeless sleeping in the trains. With all of this, it is the fastest way to get around. Going in a taxi is another way of getting places, what did surprise me was the fact that the rates at which the fares start are substantially lower than that of Canada. A yellow taxi rate would start at $2, and does not really go drastically up with the distance.
Down at Fashion AVE
Walking on Fashion Avenue was like I was finally home; the stores were all so inviting. One would think that clothes are really expensive in the city, but that was not the case, there were so many items on sale and crown it all most of the stores did not charge any tax. So what you saw was what you got, that was the crown of it all. I also experienced my very first pillow fight, which was quite an interesting site to see hundreds of people with pillows going at it at the park.
Down at Louis Vuitton
The night life is MAJOR and fun, very many people are out and about. Couples holding hands, people taking strolls by the pier, partying at the clubs, going out to movies and dates with lovers. I partied it up at a Latin night club, with amazing company.
New York is also the home of many fine and exquisite restaurants, I found out that, restaurants chains are hugely frowned upon by New Yorkers for dates or even on regular visits. We will consider a restaurant like Red Lobster in Canada an averagely expensive but also good place to have dinner, but in NY smaller or specialty restaurants are more appreciated.
The feeling being in New York to me was like two lovers meeting for the very first time, the excitement, the teasing, the pleasing; it ignites you and makes your heart burst with a flame of passion and the feeling of finally finding the one. I'd always say it is a place that everyone has to experience, I most certainly will say I LOVE NEW YORK

RULE 4: Go to the gym and work out your body for definition
RULE 5: have as much raw fruits and vegetables as you can
RULE 6: take your supplements daily
RULE 7: stay away from Dairy
RULE 8: Stay away from as much sodium as possible
RULE 9: Never eat after 7pm
RULE 10: Take green tea every night
Getting your summer body is just a week away,
The night before I started, I had my last meal at 7pm, and had green tea with honey and ginseng. Ginseng is a natural herb that gives you energy and reduces stress levels, increases levels of alertness and mental energy.
FACTS ABOUT GREEN TEA
Green Tea Stimulates the Metabolism & Accelerates Weight Loss
“Green tea contains powerful antioxidants called catechin polyphenols that are responsible for many of the health benefits of green tea. One of them in particular, epigallocatechin gallate (or EGCG for short), has been found to stimulate the metabolism and accelerate weight loss.
EGCG, along with the caffeine in green tea, stimulates the central nervous system and causes fat to be released into the blood stream for the body to use as fuel.
This process of fat being used for energy is called “thermogenesis”. It provides extra energy, sheds excess water, and also helps to burn body fat.”
http://www.greenweightlosstea.com/green-tea-weight-loss.html
For breakfast 1st glass of water in the morning. An apple and a granola bar. Granola bars are about 140 calories and get the granola bar with berries or fruits in it
For lunch, you have have anything between a sandwich without sodium otherwise known as salt. Because what it does is that excess sodium makes you retain water in the body especially in the face and it gives that puffy look. So have like lets say a turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, hot peppers, all the vegetables you have in it.. on a whole grain wrap..
Ideas for dinner could include fish, because of the natural oils in the fish and it’s high protein value, lots of broccoli, carrots, green peas , You could easily get this in the frozen isle of any grocery store, if you do not have the patience to cut the fresh ones. Cook with cayenne pepper, sprinkle it on the fish or vegetables, It provides you with lots of energy:
Also having small amounts of nuts at night would be great, Make sure it is unsalted. And count the calories should not exceed 100
BENEFITS OF CAYENNE PEPPER
What cayenne pepper does is that it provides Increased energy is logical as the heart is literally immediately strengthened by the introduction of cayenne pepper into the system.
Having a healthy heart, a heart that pumps less but the same amount of blood, means you have more energy. This energy could give you more of an impetus to doing aerobic exercise and this exercise combined with a lower calorie diet would allow you to lose weight faster

NO PASTA, you could have very tiny white rice, or brown rice and more of the vegetables… Also as a snack, you could get baby carrot sticks that you could munch on, and you don’t even feel hungry
An example would be in this picture
Cut out all bread whatsoever. And stay away from as much dairy as possible, the usual no pop or sweetened juices, You could have the low calorie cranberry juice but mostly have water.
Have green tea every night before bed,
DO NOT EAT AFTER 7pm, that’s the most important thing.. Do not exceed 1000 calories a day, you could have a granola bar as a snack twice a day… and also going the gym as well.
If you are feeling hungry have a glass of water, that definitely helps, because sometimes the mind is just telling us that the body is thirsty and needs water.
Vitamins are important in this case, so have a good multivitamin that you should be taking everyday. I do take the one-a-day men multivitamin, another good one is the mega-man sport

Vitamin C, with 100 mg of calcium, now what this calcium does is that, it helps absorb as much of the vitamin c as possible into the body

it’s called SISU Ester-C 1000mg it’s by
You could find out more about it on http://www.sisu.com/sisu/esterc/
It is actually very natural and not like other synthetic ones
Also an important supplement to take that is a must is the Odourless Garlic

WORKING OUT AT THE GYM:
Every morning do about 50 push ups and 100 sit ups for the full 10 days!!!! Or as much as you can
I did muscle workouts,
Spread along the week was
Monday: chest day and abdominal workout
Tuesday: Leg day and abdominal workout
Wednesday: Rest muscles to recover
Thursday: Arm day and abdominal workout
Friday Back day: Also Include Abdominal workout
Saturday: pushups and sit ups
Sunday: Rest your muscles to recover
Eating healthy everyday is an important factor of life, we must understand that it’s a lifestyle change and not just for a period of time. Do it for yourself and no one else, True beauty comes from within and not what we see but remember the sooner you take control of your life you will begin to glow in the morning.

February Fashion Piece : The New Black
We are all the creation of art, physically bound wanting to attain the perfection of beauty. Through the beginning of time, we have prevailed with nature and grown with time. Through various captions of images we have built memories in forms that make history, for many of us it’s captured through the little digital cameras that have become increasingly famous as some of the celebrities that are shot. Through this month of February, black history is celebrated all over the world more especially North America. This remembrance of history was originated by Carter G. Woodson in 1926.
Very many stars of our time have portrayed history through fashion, such as Shawn Corey Carter better known by his stage name Jay-Z, he proclaimed that he might wear black for a straight year. Some artists have followed suit on that such as Rihanna with her avant-garde style, very dark and major. So is black the new Fierce?
The Versace fall collection for 2010, Designer; Donatella Versace, speaks a lot with the dark look, leather jackets, and motorcycle boots in black or gray patent leather.

Photos curtsy GQ.com
Boots are major this season and we’ve seen a lot of them in runway shows of many designers, my top picks are slightly dressy boots that is a more upscale look and the second is the sporty design that could be worn with skinny jeans and leather jackets, made by puma.

The hard and dark look should not be over done to still have that classy and sophisticated look. A little splash of color would still go a long way, as seen in the pumas.
Following up with today’s trends can be difficult to keep up, and your style can be interpreted in so many different ways but remember “tomorrow’s fashion started yesterday.”

THE BEGINING "The Perfect Blazer"
Understanding the styles and identity of ourselves is crucial to living in the age of fashion. Fashion is always changing with the ability to produce, sell and market to us the consumers. We are like cougars always seeking our next prey of merchandise, the new designs from the biggest labels all around the world.
They are there to inspire, and make us feel liberated and poised in every sense of the word. In 2010 we have reached a decade in the new millennium, now the world has turned into a craze of identity. With every identity comes a new scarf, new shoes or new shades. Mine will be brought forward in the context of sophistication, rugged looks and cool casuals.
The very first and important thing to do is identify who you are? Ask yourself; what I'm I trying to convey to the world? Follow that path to lead you to the junction that will represent what you are all about. Take risks, because with that we all learn what works and what does not.
For a Gentleman of style,

The history of the blazer goes as far back as 1825; many schools adopted this as part of their school uniforms across the Commonwealth nations, with styles from the double-breasted, classic blazers and even military styles. Showcased by Dolce and Gabbana in the spring 2010 collection, the perfect blazer should be fitting and represent you. Not over done but just right in the aspect of design. It must communicate presence and command in visual aspects also with a sense of charm. The embroidered looking front gives it more of a definition rather than just having a pocket handkerchief which is always a classic but can also be switched up from time to time.
It is really interesting seeing the change over the years with men’s fashion, it seemed for a very long time that it was stagnant to everything plain and nothing different. Now we are beginning to see a lot more innovative ideas and creations that us guys are starting to embrace.
With all of this, you must remember fire burns only if ignited which could be by a number of things. Fashion is like fire, it burns constantly and it is ignited by its many inspirations through Art and culture. So get inspired and burn your world.
