February Fashion Piece : The New Black

We are all the creation of art, physically bound wanting to attain the perfection of beauty. Through the beginning of time, we have prevailed with nature and grown with time. Through various captions of images we have built memories in forms that make history, for many of us it’s captured through the little digital cameras that have become increasingly famous as some of the celebrities that are shot. Through this month of February, black history is celebrated all over the world more especially North America. This remembrance of history was originated by Carter G. Woodson in 1926.

Very many stars of our time have portrayed history through fashion, such as Shawn Corey Carter better known by his stage name Jay-Z, he proclaimed that he might wear black for a straight year. Some artists have followed suit on that such as Rihanna with her avant-garde style, very dark and major. So is black the new Fierce?
The Versace fall collection for 2010, Designer; Donatella Versace, speaks a lot with the dark look, leather jackets, and motorcycle boots in black or gray patent leather.

Boots are major this season and we’ve seen a lot of them in runway shows of many designers, my top picks are slightly dressy boots that is a more upscale look and the second is the sporty design that could be worn with skinny jeans and leather jackets, made by puma.

The hard and dark look should not be over done to still have that classy and sophisticated look. A little splash of color would still go a long way, as seen in the pumas.
Following up with today’s trends can be difficult to keep up, and your style can be interpreted in so many different ways but remember “tomorrow’s fashion started yesterday.”

THE BEGINING "The Perfect Blazer"

Understanding the styles and identity of ourselves is crucial to living in the age of fashion. Fashion is always changing with the ability to produce, sell and market to us the consumers. We are like cougars always seeking our next prey of merchandise, the new designs from the biggest labels all around the world.

They are there to inspire, and make us feel liberated and poised in every sense of the word. In 2010 we have reached a decade in the new millennium, now the world has turned into a craze of identity. With every identity comes a new scarf, new shoes or new shades. Mine will be brought forward in the context of sophistication, rugged looks and cool casuals.

The very first and important thing to do is identify who you are? Ask yourself; what I'm I trying to convey to the world? Follow that path to lead you to the junction that will represent what you are all about. Take risks, because with that we all learn what works and what does not.

For a Gentleman of style,

The history of the blazer goes as far back as 1825; many schools adopted this as part of their school uniforms across the Commonwealth nations, with styles from the double-breasted, classic blazers and even military styles. Showcased by Dolce and Gabbana in the spring 2010 collection, the perfect blazer should be fitting and represent you. Not over done but just right in the aspect of design. It must communicate presence and command in visual aspects also with a sense of charm. The embroidered looking front gives it more of a definition rather than just having a pocket handkerchief which is always a classic but can also be switched up from time to time.

It is really interesting seeing the change over the years with men’s fashion, it seemed for a very long time that it was stagnant to everything plain and nothing different. Now we are beginning to see a lot more innovative ideas and creations that us guys are starting to embrace.

With all of this, you must remember fire burns only if ignited which could be by a number of things. Fashion is like fire, it burns constantly and it is ignited by its many inspirations through Art and culture. So get inspired and burn your world.
