It's not a secret that the fashion capital of the world is New York City. New York is flooded with millions of tourists every month that come to have a taste of what the city has to offer. I had the opportunity to visit some of its many famous buildings, sites and monuments like Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, Rockafella Center and many more. There is a feeling you get when you visit New York, it feels like you are now in the presence of life; the real world.
Many people also move to New York for two things, Its fashion and to find love. I had a great opportunity to do a photo shoot with one of the greatest photographers of our time Mr. Tarrice Love, more of his work can be found on www.loveismyrealname.blogspot.com.
The commute in the city was quite an experience, the subways are crowded with thousands of people every day, with children playing and dancing in the karts to make money, to the homeless sleeping in the trains. With all of this, it is the fastest way to get around. Going in a taxi is another way of getting places, what did surprise me was the fact that the rates at which the fares start are substantially lower than that of Canada. A yellow taxi rate would start at $2, and does not really go drastically up with the distance.
Down at Fashion AVE
Walking on Fashion Avenue was like I was finally home; the stores were all so inviting. One would think that clothes are really expensive in the city, but that was not the case, there were so many items on sale and crown it all most of the stores did not charge any tax. So what you saw was what you got, that was the crown of it all. I also experienced my very first pillow fight, which was quite an interesting site to see hundreds of people with pillows going at it at the park.
Down at Louis Vuitton
The night life is MAJOR and fun, very many people are out and about. Couples holding hands, people taking strolls by the pier, partying at the clubs, going out to movies and dates with lovers. I partied it up at a Latin night club, with amazing company.
New York is also the home of many fine and exquisite restaurants, I found out that, restaurants chains are hugely frowned upon by New Yorkers for dates or even on regular visits. We will consider a restaurant like Red Lobster in Canada an averagely expensive but also good place to have dinner, but in NY smaller or specialty restaurants are more appreciated.
The feeling being in New York to me was like two lovers meeting for the very first time, the excitement, the teasing, the pleasing; it ignites you and makes your heart burst with a flame of passion and the feeling of finally finding the one. I'd always say it is a place that everyone has to experience, I most certainly will say I LOVE NEW YORK
l really like the post and your activities in NYC ...nice piece
